Your rights under the Australian Consumer Law
Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
The benefits provided under this warranty are in addition to other rights and remedies available to you under law in relation to the goods to which this warranty relates.
Warranty periods
| Product | Warranty period |
|---|---|
| Inflatable tents — rooftop and ground | 2 years |
| All other Often Outdoors branded products | 1 year |
| All other brands | 6 months, with proof of purchase |
The warranty period runs from the date of delivery or collection.
Exclusions
This warranty does not cover wear and consumable parts (such as pegs, guy ropes, zip pulls, seals, gas canisters, and globes), damage caused by storm, accident or impact, misuse, failure to maintain the product in accordance with the manual (including stated inflation pressures, load limits and wind ratings), damage caused by packing the product away wet, or unauthorised modification. These exclusions do not affect your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
How to make a claim
- Email hello@oftenoutdoors.com with your proof of purchase (order number or receipt).
- Include the product serial or batch number where the product has one. On tents this is usually on a label inside the inner tent or on the carry bag.
- Attach a photograph or short video of the issue and a brief description of what happened.
How claims are handled
We are responsible for resolving your claim. You do not need to contact the manufacturer. We assess claims at our West End location, and where a repair cannot be completed by us we arrange it with the manufacturer’s authorised service agent on your behalf and remain your point of contact throughout. We bear the reasonable costs of assessing and remedying valid warranty claims, including parts, labour, and return freight. We aim to resolve claims within 7 business days.
Returning the product to us
You are responsible for returning products that can be posted or easily returned. Where the product is large, heavy or hard to remove — such as a rooftop tent, a large ground tent, or bulky furniture — we pay the shipping cost or collect it. If we confirm the product has a problem, we reimburse any reasonable return costs you have already paid, so keep your postage or transport receipts.
If no fault is found
If we assess the product and find it does not have a problem, we may ask you to pay the collection and inspection costs. We will give you a reasonable estimate of those costs before we collect the product, and you can decide at that point whether to proceed.

Often Amphibious Inflatable Rooftop Tent - blue is backordered and will ship as soon as it is back in stock.
Description
Description
The Often Amphibious is an inflatable rooftop tent engineered for campers who go everywhere — coastal tracks, creek crossings, desert routes, mountain fire trails. The name says it all: this tent performs whether you're camping above a beach, beside a river, or deep in the outback. Canvas-body construction built to match Australia's variable terrain and weather.
Polyester-Cotton Canvas for All Climates
The Amphibious tent body is constructed from 210g premium polyester-cotton canvas — a material that handles both heat and cold. Cotton fibres breathe well in humid coastal conditions and provide better insulation than pure synthetic fabrics in alpine environments. The 420D Oxford rainfly provides the waterproofing layer when conditions deteriorate, while the canvas inner stays dry and condensation-free.
Off the Ground, Off the Risk
Sleeping in a rooftop tent puts you above ground-level insects, water, snakes, and uneven terrain — relevant considerations across most of the Australian bush. The Amphibious gives you that security on any vehicle with a compatible roof rack, with a 230cm telescopic ladder for safe access whatever height your rig sits at.
Fast Inflation, Proven Air-Beam System
The Amphibious uses a 10cm self-developed air column system with environmentally friendly materials. The included dual-function pump with pressure gauge inflates to shape quickly and correctly every time. When it's time to pack up, the same pump deflates the columns for compact storage in the 95 × 45 × 45cm carry bag.
What's in the box
- Inflatable base and tent. They travel as one unit and inflate on separate valves. Being able to deflate the tent on its own is what makes the cover below useful.
- Wheeled carry bag with a pull handle.
- Base cover. Deflate the tent, leave the base inflated, put the cover over it. About a minute of work, and the base stays on your rack as a closed, solid platform — so you can move to the next spot, or drive home, without packing the whole tent down. You can also load gear on top of the base in that state: the base itself takes up to 2.5 tonnes, though the figure that actually governs is whatever your roof rack, bars or tray are rated for, and that is almost always the lower of the two.
- High-volume manual pump.
- Folding ladder.
- Basic repair kit.
- Dimmable interior LED strip. Runs off a portable power bank, which is not included.
